Volunteers
Without volunteers the Beatty Museum and Historical Society could not advance its missions and projects. With only one paid
employee we depend on volunteers to keep the Beatty Museum open and running efficiently. Volunteers come from all walks of life and bring
with them a diversity of expertise, interests, and resources. By being a volunteer you have the opportunity to learn about the history, art, and
culture of the Bullfrog Mining District and Nye County, as well as, share your knowledge.
Some duties offered to volunteers include:
-
Learning how to identify and date collections.
-
Assist in keeping collections and member records current through data entry.
-
Assist in special events and fund raisers.
-
Help keep the museum in good condition with interior and exterior maintenance.
-
Help with documentation and research projects.
-
Answer question and supply information to visitors.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, call the museum at 775-553-2303 for more information.
